For this project, Erica asked me to create a funky logo with a 70s theme for her online thrifting business. I chose to use a chunky retro font and some bright, eye-catching colours.
To begin, I created a mood board of the visual elements we wanted to incorporate into the logo and color scheme. Once we were satisfied with the mood board, I searched for a font that matched the vibe we were aiming for. I found a font online that had many great glyphs. I decided to use that font and made some edits to certain letter forms to give the text an organic, flowy feel. After finalizing the logo layout, I researched colour palettes that embodied the retro 70s look and created a few variations of the logo.
Ultimately, we decided on the orange and pink logo. I believe it has strong contrast, and vibrancy, and aligns well with the theme we were going for.
