When Amanda approached me for this project, I was briefed that she wanted to revamp her website, including a new colour palette, font selection, and overall design of every page.
I began by choosing the colour palette and font. Since Novi Interiors prioritizes eco-friendly materials and sustainability, I aimed to reflect that in the colour scheme. They also wanted to stick with blue as the main colour. So, I settled on a calm, minimalist colour scheme with blues, greys, and a touch of blush pink as an accent colour. As for the font, I opted for a modern sans serif for the main text and a script font for headers and titles. The script font added a "handcrafted" feel to the website, which was a specific element that Amanda wished to include.
The website was originally created in WIX, so to simplify future updates, I carried on building the website there. I completely redesigned the website, introducing new images of Amanda’s work and using them as the main focus on many of the pages to really highlight her work. Amanda wanted to feature consistent content on the landing pages, so we agreed to include quotes about how great design can make a house feel like a home across these pages.
